Now that we’re here.

Yesterday was the Inauguration and DJ is now officially the President. Very depressing. Pissed me off, too. It was the culmination of a campaign that brought about the very situation the Constitution’s safeguards were included specifically to avoid, a federal crisis in which the checks and balances of our government were defeated. The people’s majority vote was overruled by an outdated institution of proxy electors that was designed as a balance to ensure whomever assumed the office was fit to do so. At the same time a foreign power interfered with our electoral process to warp the results in their favor and the incoming President is in violation of the law since the moment he took the oath. Or so I was told

I don’t think the way I grew up was much out of the ordinary. My father was career military, both my families came from farmers and ranchers. My mother and both her parents were cooks. I came from fairly conservative stock, both respectable and redneck. I went to public schools all the way through college and was the first in my family to graduate with a degree.
